The new class format allows you to customize the information you receive by selecting modules that most closely fit your situation. Successfully completing three modules is equivalent to the in-person 3.5 - hour class.

Topics addressed: tuning up your listening skills, figuring out who owns the problem, fair fighting, making a polite request, handling hot topics, and what to do if the other parent is uncooperative.
We Argue All the Time: Successful, Effective Parenting in High-Conflict Divorce

This module explores how parents can put their children’s needs ahead of their conflict with the other parent. Information about the importance of keeping children protected from adult conflict will be presented, along with tools and strategies to reduce conflict. A model of parenting called Parallel Parenting will be introduced. Other topics include communication and exchanging information, using a parenting coordinator, and supervised parenting time. Seven special issues will be briefly addressed: domestic violence, substance abuse, when a parent is in jail, mental illness, abandonment, stepparents, and overly involved grandparents.
When Parents Divorce: Looking at Divorce Through Your Child's Eyes

This module presents a look at the many ways children experience divorce. Discussion topics include what children and adults feel and how to address feelings, recognizing and dealing with grief, how to talk with your child about the divorce, developmental stages and how children may experience divorce at each stage, the high cost of parental conflict, and most important – what children need to help them adjust to the changes in their family.
If you are taking this series to meet requirements in Larimer County, Colorado, this module is required for all parents. We strongly suggest you start with this module.
