Overview

Breaking Up? Divorcing?

The Rebuilding Seminar can help! This ten-week class is designed to provide support and information to ease your adjustment to the ending of a love relationship and help you move forward to the rest of your life.

Based on the Work of Dr. Bruce Fisher
The class is based on the pioneering work of Dr. Bruce Fisher. His tried and true program has helped more than half a million people around the world and is still going strong after more than thirty years. We use Dr. Fisher’s book Rebuilding:, When Your Relationship Ends as the text for this seminar.

How the Seminar Works
  • This is an educational seminar that includes a textbook, homework assignments and a structured format for each session. See overview of class topics.
  • Class size varies, but typically ranges from 10 to 20 participants – both men and women.
  • Each week covers a new topic, building on the previous week’s topic. All of the content is based on research designed to lead participants toward healing and growth.
  • The class meets for three hours one night a week for ten weeks – 30 hours in all. We typically offer four distinct sessions per year. See our complete seminar schedule here.
  • Over the next nine weeks, classes are held in participants’ homes. There is no expectation that you must hold a class at your home. It is completely voluntary.
Registration Information
  • The fee is $250 for the ten-week seminar.

Purchase the book on your own. It is available locally at most bookstores or online at Amazon, Barnes & Noble.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required at the time of registration.
  • Payment plans can be arranged if you need to spread out the cost of the class. Please speak with our office to make the arrangements. Our policy is that all fees must be paid in full by the 8th class.
  • Some insurance companies may reimburse a portion of your class fees. It is up to you to check on this and file the necessary paperwork.
  • To register, please telephone our office at 970-407-0463.
  • In order to maximize the experience for each person, divorcing couples are not allowed to be in the same class.
  • The Fisher Seminars have a tradition of no dating among participants during the ten-week class. This ensures that each person in the group can count on a level of comfort and emotional safety throughout the ten weeks of classes.
Class Facilitators

We have an outstanding team of facilitators who lead our Rebuilding Seminars.

Jean McBride, M.S. LMFT is the executive director of the Colorado Center for Life Changes. She is an author, speaker and advocate for healthy divorce and healthy families.

Kathy Lees, M.S. is in private practice in northern Colorado with Divorce Resource of the Rockies. She specializes in issues related to divorce.

Rhonda Parmley, Ph.D., CRC is a psychotherapist in private practice in Fort Collins. She is interested in helping people meet and heal from unexpected life challenges with grace and courage.

You don’t have to go through this alone!
An important benefit of the Rebuilding Seminar is that you join a community of people who are going through the same thing you are. At a time when it may be difficult to do things alone, you become part of a group of people to call upon for support, wisdom, and companionship. Many people make lifelong friends during their Rebuilding experience.
