“It’s not the strongest of species that survives,
or the most intelligent,
but the one most responsive to change.”

-Charles Darwin

Change may be the one constant in our lives that each of us can count on! At the Colorado Center for Life Changes our goal is to provide research-based information, skills and support to people who are experiencing change in their lives. We offer classes, a variety of online and offline resources, and perhaps most important, a soft place for you to land.

The Colorado Center for Life Changes is an expansion of Divorce Transitions, Inc., a company started in 1995 in Fort Collins, Colorado to provide court-ordered parenting classes for divorcing parents.

As we listened to our class participants describe their lives, we realized that they needed information and resources that far exceeded the scope of the original class for parents. Lives were changing in all kinds of ways, and we wanted to expand the ways in which we offered help.

In the fall of 2008, we started the Colorado Center for Life Changes, which currently offers support and information for three distinct yet interrelated areas of life change:
Divorce Transitions
Rebuilding When Your Relationship Ends
How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk

Divorce Transitions and now the Colorado Center for Life Changes are my babies. I’ve written the course material, selected classes, hired teachers and kept the programs alive and moving forward.

I’ve spent my professional career helping people understand and adjust to changes in their lives. I believe in people – their strength, resilience, and heart. As a writer, teacher, and family therapist I’ve been privileged to meet and work with amazing people on their journeys of change. And in the process I’ve experienced my own growth and change – something that never ceases to amaze and thrill me. We are indeed, all connected.

I’m the person you will most likely talk to on the phone. My job is to set up the classes, help participants register for the appropriate class, and keep everything running smoothly.

I am fortunate to be married for 34 years to a wonderful man. We have two adult children who have moved on with their lives, but left us the dog and cat. That’s okay because we love them too! On my off time I enjoy reading, hiking, biking and snowshoeing.

I enjoy my contact with our clients – helping them get into the class that’s right for them. I realize that during stressful times it really helps to have a friendly voice and someone to provide an ear to listen. I enjoy every conversation and strive to provide excellent customer service.

Greetings! I have been providing counseling, psycho-educational, and consulting services for individuals, families and businesses for over twenty years. I believe that crisis is an opportunity for growth and change, and that each of us has the resources within us to find a richer and more meaningful existence as we work through these oftentimes unexpected life events, such as divorce, death, and disability.

My work with people is informed by theories and models that have experiential, existential, and spiritual orientations. In addition to providing clinical and psycho-educational services I also work as adjunct faculty in Colorado State University’s School of Education.
